The Grand Canyon print
My original idea for this painting was more realistic. But as the painting progressed, the mists in the canyons suggested an abstraction of clouds or fog or waterfalls. At that point, since it was water that formed the walls of the Grand Canyon, I decided to leave it more undefined and let the viewer decide whether it was water or mist or fog.
