Blue Bugatti
11X14
My dad loved old cars and Bugatti has built some of the most beautiful cars in the world. I painted this for his birthday before he passed away.
Like many collector cars, when they are restored, they become art on many levels. So, whether you are looking at the car overall, or marveling at the beauty of the separate engineered parts, …

Denver & Rio Grande
Trains have always fascinated me with their honest mechanical systems in plain view and the way the ground shakes as they pass by. I was looking through my portfolio and I found this old friend I painted a few years back and it reminded me of how unique, beautiful and timeless steam engines are.

First Day of Creation
As I imagine the 1st day of the created earth, I always think of how dramatic and beautiful the rotating water and materials of the brand new earth would have appeared from space. I see water being pulled into the gravitational field of the earth and beginning to form the final spherical shape.

The Hotel Del Coronado is a beautiful resort complex located on the Silver Strand beach near San Diego, California.
The classic architecture and coastal location, make this a great subject for a painting.
I have tried to give this painting the feeling that you are on an island, because you almost are, with the Pacific Ocean on …

Nashville Vibe
Music is mysterious and magical to me. I am always amazed at anyone who can play a musical instrument. I am also drawn to the craftsmanship and beauty that goes into these instruments.
This painting is an attempt to paint that wonderful unseen world of vibrations and frequencies that so enriches our lives.

Rugged Servant
11”x 14 acrylic on barnwood
Rugged Servant
Old sheds and barns are fun to paint, because of their character and texture. Though simple in design, they have proven to be very durable through the years, and the old weathered wood is a delight to the eyes. This one stands in contrast to the early morning fog that we see frequently here in …

The 3rd Wave
Water in general is fascinating to watch and study. It’s movements and characteristics are mesmerizing and complex. Giant waves on the ocean however, can be both beautiful and violently powerful. Still, there is almost always a dramatic play of light and color with any water image.

The Golden Edge
30″x 40″ Acrylic on canvas
The Golden Edge
I used the pallet knife on most of this painting because it creates defined hard edges. Then I contrasted that with the soft circles in white that float through or above the hard edge background.
One of the things I was thinking about while painting this piece, is that life has some hard edges that …
